'Heróis do Futuro' (Heroes of the Future) is a multiplatform project sponsored by SESI, a ‘Sistema FIRJAN’ (FIRJAN Group) institution, created to raise awareness among young students from Rio de Janeiro to the topics being discussed at Rio+20 and to the challenges of a sustainable development worldwide. Initially intended for students from the public and private schools in Rio de Janeiro, in addition to the SESI and SENAI education students from the State of Rio, the project has expanded to now allow anyone in the world to participate. Also, it has a partnership with the Department of Education of Rio, which opened the doors of their schools to the Heroes of the Future.
If you are a 6th to 9th grade student at Project or Youth and Senior Education Classes from public and private elementary schools in the city of Rio de Janeiro; or a 6th to 9th Elementary School student of the SESI or SENAI Education System in the state of Rio de Janeiro, visit the following website and check if your school is registered and participate now under School Category !
In April, the FIESP Group, through SESI/SENAI network, joined the project and a school category was created exclusively for their students. If you are a 6th – 9th grade student, a Youth and Senior Education student of SESI elementary schools, or an industry education student at SENAI São Paulo, you can join the School Category – São Paulo.

You can join the contest with your friends as a team that will go through virtual games, quizzes and challenges on sustainability.
In step one, your team will have fun learning the topics Waste, Sanitation, Transport and Pollution.
And in step two, the team will have to use all its knowledge for a super project: building a virtual Sustainable City model.
